bye bye birdie

in the spirit of lent and giving up something i love for 40 days, i've decided to promise off blogging and fashion websites and such. i know i'm writing this post right now, and it's technically two days after ash wednesday, but you catch my drift.

see you easter sunday!

is it okay to do things no one else likes

i've been having a writer's block lately, but scouring the internet really helped kick some inspiration up in my face. just yesterday i found out i get to read to a bunch of 7th grade students for an induction ceremony next week, in the auditorium (aka bright hot lights) which should be super fun (ok not really). but i figured it should be interesting.

omg he's super ulzzang.

sources: ok seriously you guys i get all my pictures from tumblr and probably reblog them on my tumblr.

she told me she was moving far far away

i was feeling pattern-crazy today and it was the first day this winter that it was cold outside. so maybe that explains everything. or not. i really don't care because i just got strange looks at school and i was called "climate-confused." and i take that as a nice friendly gesture of love.

ahmen sistah.

rolling hills and bad puns

okay, i probably won't add the word "roll" to every picture roll i make (it's like the kardashians' kollection *shudder*) but i couldn't resist the temptation of wordplay.

who wants to go clubbing with me in tokyo?

saturday nights are specially reserved for me. i enjoy going on tumblr, finding new asian singers on youtube, and looking up rather inane things on the internet (don't worry; i keep everything pg). so i found this really cool j-pop group, capsule, after finding them on a tumblr blog! can i say multi-task!!!
this really has not much to do with fashion/style but i like to think of it as music-you-listen-to-while-mastermindingly-becoming-the-next-big-designer. because that makes a lot of sense...

and hey look they're really fashionable!

loving his face right now.

haruki murakami writes very intriguing novels

since today is friday i wanted to look all fancy and business-like as one on-looker said and cool and i-can-wear-a-blazer-better-than-you-with-your-constricting-skirts (i'm not passive aggressive...).
i really liked the t-shirt i wore (i wish you could see it better) because i got it at UNIQLO in new york city when i visited there, in the men's section because i was bored and my dad was there. the shirt was collaborated with the japanese film, Norwegian Wood (a super tragic love story i think; i need to watch it) based off of murakami's novel (which i need to read...somewhere in my bookshelf).
yeah. anyways i found out how to keep my photos from looking super orange. it's called saturation!!!!! please don't shake your head at my lack of photoshopping expertise.

hey look maybe i should get my hair cut like this (i like it!)

even if my hair changes, my face will stay the same.

i made this necklace out of that string you used to tie turkey legs up with before baking them and a very attractive bracelet that broke.

picture roll roll roll

i've been busy with school lately (and the internet and sleeping and anything else that is definitely unproductive) but i wanted to put a picture roll of some pretty inspiring pictures that i like. because i'm not too computer savvy, no collage or cool formats or anything special. only pictures.

this one is just beautiful.

the fashion blogging industry will soon be run over by girls

seriously. i was just creeping through blogs on blogspot and most all of them were 13 or 14 years old. (ok, i get to creep because i AM 14, not 47 or 63). and these blogs are seriously amazing. like, more amazing than finding a new band or going to the dollar store. i'd like to blame most of this on tavi (lol jkjk, please don't kill me) because the amount of creativity and inspiration that goes into every post is just mind-blowing. here is a list of blogs i found tonight (please don't get the idea that this is what i do for fun on friday nights...)

therubylotus.wordpress.com
styledynamite.blogspot.com
under-a-bridge.blogspot.com

so you should check these blogs out, like-totally-OMG-bubblehead now.

disheveled trend giveaway!

yeah. i'm out to win. and get blood. (not really, that would be gross...)

badgley mischka spring 2012 ready-to-wear

to be honest, when i pick out a collection to write about, i just blindly scroll through the list of designers and pick one i don't know or one that sounds interesting. so that's how i found badgley and mischika's collection. and i'm glad i did because it is so sweet. sweet as in candy wrapper foils and bright bubble colors that make you want to breathe glitter and pink-orange-blue. and i can't help but to notice the franken-bride feel of the makeup and hair. very nice in the sharp eyebrows and beauty marks.

oh no she didn't

now that my sports club is back up and running (literally. and i hate running.) i don't have as much time as i would like to obsess over my blogs and be super creepy on the internet. (maybe that isn't so bad). i really wish i had a nice artsy backdrop and not orange lighting, but i am still wishing for a pet quail so we don't know when that'll happen.

when did your heart go missing

i really don't understand why i can't think of anything right now. i didn't go to school yesterday because of a dentist appointment and an easy year and corrupt laziness, but i don't think i would recycle my outfit just for the sake of it wasn't THAT cool.

kaleidoscope lenses through time

in part this alexander mcqueen s/s '12 collection, photographer david sims makes these shots look very ethereal and dreamy and hazy and fuzzy. as if you were in another world, trapped in a dome of carbon monoxide and sulfuric acid.

is it just me, or does this image have a virgin mary-esque feel.
