kaleidoscope lenses through time

in part this alexander mcqueen s/s '12 collection, photographer david sims makes these shots look very ethereal and dreamy and hazy and fuzzy. as if you were in another world, trapped in a dome of carbon monoxide and sulfuric acid.

 is it just me, or does this image have a virgin mary-esque feel.
